Wanted: Freelance facilitators

Calling all great speakers and facilitators! Join Digify Africa’s exciting new programme seeking to teach high school learners about internet safety and how to apply critical thinking to online and print information.

Together with Africa Check, Digify Africa is building a team of facilitators to roll-out training on fact-checking to the future generation of our country. This programme seeks to promote quality public debate but also applying critical thinking on all information they come across on a day to day basis.



  • Attend all Train the Trainer sessions

  • Facilitators need to familiarise themselves with all program modules prior to induction and training workshop and to continuously be familiarising yourself with the content material.

    The facilitator is obliged to:

    • Make an effort to continuously sharpen individual digital skills.

    • Act as an ambassador for the programme and all programme partners.

    • Be professional and accountable during the entire process from training to workshop  facilitation.

    • Take responsibility for all equipment, including projector, screen, speakers, cables and extension cords used in hosting training sessions.

  • Have fully completed the Train the Trainer sessions and have completed a mock session before being regarded as a facilitator.

  • Send their monthly availability for training sessions.

  • Complete facilitator feedback forms after every session and send to Project Managers on the day of the session.

  • Complete registration forms for sessions and hand into Project Managers on the day of the session, unless otherwise communicated.

  • Be proactive for any crises that may happen


  • Facilitation experience or public speaking experience (please state all events or training sessions you have facilitated on in your CV)

  • No minimum qualification required

  • Digital marketing background or digital knowledge

  • Proactive on social media platforms

  • Confident speaker in front of small and large numbers

  • Has good organisational skills

  • Has good communication skills (English proficiency and can speak another indigenous South African language)

  • Must be willing to travel both locally and internationally

  • Computer literate

  • Proactive and self-reliant personality

  • Critical thinker

Please note that facilitator must between the ages of 23 to 30.


  • Have a laptop to use for sessions
